Cleaning advice
Use these short preparation guides to make a cleaning enquiry more useful. They focus on scope, access and care information rather than promises about a result.

Prepare for a household clean
Clear loose items from floors and accessible surfaces. Write a short priority list and identify any delicate materials or products that must not be used. If you also need tidying or laundry, discuss those tasks separately. The time booked should reflect the work requested, not just the number of rooms.
Choose domestic cleaning for a regular schedule or one-off cleaning for a single appointment. If accumulated dirt is the main concern, read the deep-cleaning guidance first.
Plan a cleaning visit around a move
Agree when removals finish and keep keys, water and power available for the cleaning appointment. Empty only the storage and appliances included in the brief. Give the booking team any agent’s checklist and explain furniture that remains. Leave time to check the work before the handover rather than assuming the next occupant can arrive immediately after wet fabric treatment.
Compare end of tenancy cleaning with move-out cleaning to select the brief that fits the situation.
Find the care information before treating a mark
Keep the label or manufacturer’s guidance for carpets, rugs and upholstered furniture. Tell the team which products you have already used, how old the mark is and what caused it if known. Avoid mixing household chemicals or repeatedly wetting an item while waiting for advice. Material, backing and dye stability can matter as much as the visible stain.
The rug, sofa and carpet-cleaning pages explain the specific information to gather.
Compare scope before comparing prices
An appliance interior, ordinary room clean and rental handover are not interchangeable units of work. Ask what is included, what is excluded and how extras are authorised. Check minimum hours, access and location charges. A low starting figure with an undefined checklist does not establish the final price for your property.
Read cleaning price guidance and contact the team with the relevant details. More detailed service guidance is available through the Services directory.
